In a bid to promote Trade and Investment in
Africa, Trade Nigeria in partnership with Globe Chamber of Commerce and
Industry in Partnership with international parastatals will be organizing Nigeria
– Japan Africa Economic Forum which has been rescheduled to hold from the 3rd
to 10th of October 2021.
Japan and Asia's political interest in Africa has been
greatly revived and Japan is viewing Africa as a realm of opportunities where a
number of economies are developing very fast and the African middle class is
experiencing rapid growth. The determining factors for Trade and Investment
flows are beginning to change.
The Nigeria – Japan Africa Economic Forum is going to serve
as a platform or new instrument to promote Investment in Nigeria and Africa at
large. African states needs to implement reforms to improve the environment for
investment and also encourage private investors to engage more strongly in
Africa
Also it will create an enabling environment for
initiatives in the area of development and Trade between both parties
This forum will be of mutual benefit to both parties because it will also help Japan to strengthen its position in Nigeria as well as Africa, a continent with strong economic growth in many regions and rapidly growing population. Africa is set to play a large economic and political role in the world.
